Announcing Our New Senior for a Senior Program!
It is with great pleasure that we announce our new Senior for a Senior
Program. This program has been designed to honor not only our Senior
Citizens but our Senior Scotties as well. It is for any senior citizen,
over the age of 65, that is willing to take a Scotty over the age of
10 years old. We reduce the charge to $100.00 placement fee. In the past
year we had nine dogs out 27 rescues that would have qualified for this
program. Our senior dogs are absolutely the best of our rescues, having
had time to mature and really appreciate a good home with love and devotion. Yes,
it is true that the years are less for you to be with your companion,
but the rewards totally outweigh any of the negatives.
ALL Future Resuced Dogs Will be Micro-Chipped!
One thing that is new to our operation is that all rescued dogs, from
now on, will be micro-chipped before they leave us. We think that this
is a very important addition to add to the security of our rescued Scotties.
They will be identified with the Scottish Terrier Rescue Northwest information
for the first three months and then if requested will be transferred
into the new owners name as primary and keeping STRNW as the secondary
contact. We will also have a universal scanner to check to see if any dogs
have an existing Microchip. STRNW will also be selling the micro-chips as a
fundraiser for $20.00 plus registration for your own vet insertion. These micro-chips
will also be available at specific events noted in our calendar as they come
up. At these events, we will have a person that will insert the chip at no
additional cost.
